you do not comment on someone's commission prices or adopts and tell them that the price is too high.
NO. don't do it. it is very rude and it completely throws all of the effort the artist put into their art into the trash.
"but kitty," you might whine, "their skills really don't match the price!"
keep it to yourself. if you're really that sure that you're right, then phrase your goddamn comment properly.

no, this didn't happen to me. but i have stumbled on several well-made adopts that have comments that say the SB or AB price is set too high.
who are you to say that?! the artist worked very hard on that adopt and must be very proud of it, and you're just going to imply , "oh i think it's not as good as you think it is, you set the price too high"

nnoooOOoOOOonOnNO. STOP IT.
gah

It aggravates me so much seeing such low prices on Deviantart, so many people under price themselves. When I do commissions again I'm not going to be afraid to put the price high, I'm going to consider it professional work, so I'll work professionally with it, send terms and agreements, etc. If you go to a childrens illustrator and ask for a simple but cute illustration, it could easily cost you over 350$ that's the reality of artists' prices

But THEN??? PEOPLE ACTUALLY COMMENTING ON THESE ARTISTS' ALREADY LOW PRICES THAT THEY'RE TOO HIGH? Oh my GOD it pisses me off.
